ELKHART — The brother of Elkhart Mayor Rod Roberson was declared missing Monday night, with authorities issuing a Silver Alert for the 70-year-old Garvin Roberson.
Garvin Roberson was last seen a little after noon on Sunday in Elkhart, according to the alert, and was wearing a gray half-zip jacket, black basketball pants and black tennis shoes. He is listed at 6 feet 3 inches tall, 175 pounds, has black hair with brown eyes and was seen driving a gray 2022 Honda CRV with Indiana license plate 653EKG. Copper Rod Price
"He is believed to be in extreme danger and may require medical assistance," the Silver Alert says.

Elkhart Mayor Rod Roberson identified Garvin Roberson as his brother in a Facebook post Monday night, saying the family had "canvassed the city trying to find him" and had checked with every friend Garvin would normally be with.
"We are praying for his safe return," the mayor said in the post.
