Trail Tech has a new air compressor that might be the perfect tool to take on the trail. It weighs in at just over one pound, yet packs enough punch to pump up not one, not two, but four motorcycle tires on a single charge.

Flat tires are a risk we run anytime we ride. They can even happen on pavement, but are much more common after the pavement ends, which is where we prefer to ride. Air compressors have traditionally been big, bulky affairs, a necessary evil that runs off your bike’s battery, which itself is often a pain to get to. I know you should have one, but I gave up carrying my Ryobi portable compressor because it took up most of one saddlebag all by itself. Solar Pile Driving Equipment

Trail Tech’s new compressor is not only light, but also small, a mere 6.4” x 2.7” x 1.5” (162 x 68 x 38mm). That’s smaller than some patch kits. You can carry it on your bike, in your four-wheeler’s glove compartment, or practically anywhere else. It accomplishes this, along with its light weight, with its built-in five amp-hour lithium ion battery. They say that’s enough juice to pump up four motorcycle tires. If it isn’t, you can recharge it on the fly through a USB-C port (and charge your devices from its USB-A port as well). You can set your desired pressure from two to 150 psi, turn it on, and it will automatically shut off when it gets there. It even has a built-in cooling fan, and an LED light for the inevitable flat tire after dark.

Even if you don’t need it for your own flat tire, you could be a hero when your buddy has a flat, and you whip this tiny air compressor out of seemingly nowhere to save the day. Considering its small size and light weight, this seems like an excellent tool to bring along for the ride.
