Join us in collecting winter coats, jackets, and other seasonal outerwear, which will be provided to our local veterans in need and their families. A K9 Coat Drive is also underway for our furry friends, as well.

"We are pleased to participate in the coat collection for veterans (and pets), which is an ideal way to show our community support and thank our vets for their amazing service," said Scott Adams, GLMV Chamber of Commerce President.

Last year thousands of beautiful weather-appropriate coats were collected through the program, for which service members, veterans, and their families were incredibly grateful.

Collection boxes are located this year at nearly 35 GLMV locations, including village halls, police departments, and various business throughout the towns.

The program is conducted through the GLMV Chamber of Commerce, Sponsors Great Lakes Credit Union (GLCU), Wintrust Banks, ServPro-Libertyville, Shurway Movers, Elements Massage, several veteran's organizations, businesses, and municipalities.

"Thank you for the Chamber's consistent support of our military through the Midwest Veterans Closet," noted Mary Carmody, MVC.

Donations will be accepted through Nov. 16, 2022.

All styles and sizes are acceptable (Kids to Adults).
