The 12th annual Burley Lighted Christmas Parade is scheduled for Dec. 4, beginning at 6 p.m.

The parade, which will feature a procession of lighted floats through downtown Burley, will start on 19th Street and Overland Avenue and end at Centennial Park, where Santa will turn on the Christmas lights.

A live nativity will be on display at Centennial Park, plus hot chocolate, cookies and donuts for spectators.

For parade entry information, call Sonya at 208-670-2408. All entries are welcome, including families, churches, youth groups and businesses. There is no entry fee and the only requirements are lights and Christmas spirit, according to a news release.

The traditional holiday ballet, “The Nutcracker,” will be performed Dec 7-9 at the King Fine Arts Center in Burley, produced by students of Centre Stage Studios of Dance and Performing Arts and directed by Jennifer Sager, Melissa Lynch and Bria Ruffell.

This will be the 35th annual performance of the holiday favorite, according to a news release. Reserved seating tickets, priced at $18 and $20, must be purchased online at eventgroove.com. General admission seats are $16 and can be purchased at the door. All proceeds will go toward scholarships and to offset production costs for scenery and costumes.

The 25th annual Caring and Sharing Christmas Tree Festival, a holiday celebration and fundraiser for the Minidoka Health Care Foundation, is set for Thanksgiving weekend at the Rupert Civic Center, 505 7th St. This year’s festival, themed “Toys, Trains & Candy Canes,” will be open on Friday (3 to 8 p.m.) and Saturday (noon to 6 p.m.).
